Abstract
In this study, thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) was blended with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) to investigate the effects of blend composition on mechanical properties, thermal behavior, and processability.
Although TPEE exhibits excellent elasticity and thermal resistance, it has limitations in terms of processability and cost. Therefore, this study explored the feasibility of property modification through blending with LDPE.
The blend specimens were prepared via melt blending, and the composition-dependent property trends were analyzed through tensile testing, thermal analysis, and melt flow characterization. The results revealed pronounced changes in stiffness, elongation behavior, and flow properties with increasing LDPE content, which can be attributed to the differences in molecular structure and crystallinity between the two components.
These findings provide fundamental insights into property design and application expansion of TPEE-based blend materials.
