Abstract
Sulfide-based solid electrolytes offer high ionic conductivity for all-solid-state batteries but suffer from mechanical brittleness and pressure-dependent interfacial instability. This study presents a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA)-assisted solid electrolyte film designed with polar–nonpolar synergistic chemistry to stabilize sulfide electrolyte interfaces. The PSA combines nonpolar soft segments with polar ethylene oxide–containing units, enabling simultaneous mechanical compliance and strong interfacial affinity. The polar–nonpolar synergy allows adaptive contact formation under stack pressure while preserving ionic transport pathways.
As a result, the polar–nonpolar synergistic PSA enables stable interfacial contact with reduced pressure sensitivity and improved cycling stability in sulfide solid electrolytes.
