Abstract

Stretchable displays are critical for emerging applications such as robotic skin and wearable electronics, where mechanical deformability and optical stability must coexist. Conventional color conversion layers designed for rigid substrates suffer from optical degradation and backlight leakage under strain, limiting their applicability in stretchable systems. Here, we present a stretchable and photopatternable color conversion film based on heavy-metal-free quantum dots (QDs) embedded in an elastomer matrix. A tailored crosslinking strategy enables homogeneous QD dispersion and high loading in PDMS while preserving optical performance. The resulting composite exhibits efficient color conversion with minimal backlight leakage under tensile strains up to 50% and supports fine-scale patterning with pixel densities up to 300 ppi. This work offers a scalable materials platform for high-resolution stretchable display applications.
