Abstract
Transparent and stretchable conductors are essential components for next-generation wearable bioelectronic and optoelectronic devices. However, achieving high electrical conductivity, optical transparency, mechanical stretchability, and self-healing capability remains challenging. In this study, we propose a transparent and self-healable stretchable conductor based on a micropatterned liquid metal (LM) mesh embedded within a self-healing thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) matrix. The microstructured LM network minimizes optical obstruction while maintaining continuous electrical pathways under severe mechanical deformation. The conductor exhibits high optical transmittance (81.6%), low sheet resistance (2.5 Ω sq⁻¹), and stretchability exceeding 1,000%. Dynamic hydrogen-bonding interactions within the TPU matrix enable efficient self-healing with 86.4% toughness recovery. The optimized conductors exhibit stable ECG and EMG signal acquisition and reliable operation under strain.
