Abstract
Soft polymer-based acoustic sensors offer mechanical compliance and sustainability, yet their sensing performance is often constrained by limited resonance bandwidths. In this study, a reconfigurable piezo-ionotropic polymer membrane for multi-resonance acoustic sensing is presented. The membrane comprises a flexible polymer matrix containing mobile ionic species, enabling coupled electromechanical and ion-dynamic transduction. Under acoustic excitation, mechanical deformation induces dipolar polarization and dynamic ion redistribution, resulting in frequency-dependent capacitance modulation. Multiple resonance modes can be activated by tuning membrane geometry and ionic content. This work demonstrates a functional polymer platform for broadband acoustic sensing based on piezo-ionotropic transduction.
