Abstract
With the increasing interest in chiral optoelectronics based on circularly polarized light, the development of effective strategies to induce strong chirality in semiconductor thin films has become increasingly important. Here, we introduce a simple yet promising hybrid strategy that amplifies chirality by blending a small amount of a chiral organogelator with an achiral conjugated polymer, resulting in enhanced processability and chiroptical activity despite the minimal chiral content. To understand the origin of the chirality amplification, fundamental studies were conducted on the morphologies, phase behaviors, and crystalline structures of the hybrid systems. Notably, in contrast to conventional chiral conjugated thin films, in which electron acceptors typically weaken chiral responses, the incorporation of an electron acceptor in this system leads to further chirality amplification through multivalent noncovalent interactions within the conjugated molecular gelator framework.
