Abstract

Chiral conjugated materials are promising for organic electronics due to their chiroptical and spin-filtering properties. While chiral materials with intrinsic spins show significant potential for spintronics, their development is challenged by structural and assembly constraints. Here, we report chiral supramolecular assemblies of spin-bearing quinoids (QFn) blended with chiral additive 1,1’-binaphthyl-2,2’-diamine (BN). Chirality transfer in fluorinated QF1 and QF2 is attributed to F···H–N hydrogen bonding. Thermal annealing reveals that asymmetric QF1 forms stable co-crystals with BN, achieving 30-fold chirality amplification (gabs = 1.23 × 10-2), whereas symmetric QF2 undergoes phase separation with weak amplification. Notably, QF1+BN enables magneto field-effect transistors using chiral spin assemblies exhibiting ~7% spin polarization via the chirality-induced spin selectivity (CISS), providing a new strategy for organic spintronics.
