Abstract
Molecular recognition governs selective interactions, playing a crucial role in biological processes and biomedical applications. Cell adhesion, essential for tissue formation and maintenance, relies on extracellular matrix interactions. Here, we develop collagen-interpenetrated polymer (CIP) films to enhance selective cell adhesion, providing a biomimetic platform for cell culture. Striped CIP films were fabricated via soft lithography using a patterned PDMS mold and UV-initiated polymerization. Surface characterization by AFM, SEM, and FT-IR confirmed the formation of patterned structures. Collagen adsorption assays and NIH/3T3 fibroblast cultivation demonstrated preferential adhesion within CIP domains, guiding cell migration. This strategy enables precise control over cell-material interactions, offering a tunable microenvironment for applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine.
