Abstract
The development of high-performance wearable bio interfaces demands the precise control of polymeric microstructures to harmonize electrical conductivity with mechanical stretchability. Here, we report the morphological engineering of a stretchable PEDOT:PSS based composite electrode, optimized through the incorporation of poly(ethylene glycol)-block-poly(propylene glycol)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (P123) and DMSO. The synergistic doping strategy induces a conformational transition of PEDOT chains and promotes favorable phase segregation, establishing interconnected fibrillar network. This optimization results in skin-electrode impedance and mechanical compliance, facilitating the high fidelity acquisition of electrophysiological signals. Integration with a custom low-power ASIC enables high-accuracy real-time gesture classification for an intuitive augmentative communication interface, providing next-generation, seamless human-machine interaction.
