Abstract

Hole transport layers (HTLs) are essential components in optoelectronic devices such as QLEDs, OLEDs, and PeLEDs. In the field of OLEDs, extensive research on HTL materials has been conducted. However, in PeLEDs, studies on HTLs remain relatively limited despite their critical role in charge injection and charge balance. Recently, PF8Cz which replaced TFB’s triphenylamine to carbazole has attracted attention due to its higher LUMO level compared to that of TFB. Herein, we synthesized new HTL materials derived from PF8Cz through modification of the main polymer backbone and systematic side-chain engineering. The new HTLs were characterized in terms of their chemical structures and optoelectronic properties, and their applicability as HTLs was evaluated in perovskite light-emitting diodes (PeLEDs). Devices employing the new HTLs exhibited a reduced turn-on voltage from 3.34 V to 2.76 V.
