Abstract
Organic electronics has evolved through advances in materials, device concepts, and processing strategies, yet many persistent challenges originate at interfaces and in molecular self-assembly. In this lecture, I present a polymer scientist’s view of organic electronics, reflecting on how interfacial phenomena, structural and energetic heterogeneity, and processing-induced molecular organization influence the performance and reliability of organic optoelectronic devices. The discussion highlights how these insights may guide emerging directions in soft electronic materials and devices.
