Abstract
In this study, we present a strategy based on Sulfur(VI) Fluoride Exchange (SuFEx) reactions for the selective installation of two distinct side chains onto a single monomer. Through control of site selectivity, macromonomers bearing two different side chains were synthesized and subsequently polymerized to construct main backbone with predefined side-chain compositions. The resulting polymers were designed to undergo selective cleavage of specific side chains under defined conditions, enabling post-polymerization modulation of polymer structure and functionality. This work demonstrates a polymer design strategy that integrates monomer-level precision functionalization with selective side-chain degradation.
