Abstract
Three novel dihydroindenofluorene (IF)-based polymers, P1–P3, were synthesized with structural isomers of pyrrolopyrroledione (PPD) to study their optoelectronic properties for non-fullerene organic solar cells (NFA-OSCs). P1 (IF + IFPPD) showed a bandgap of 2.39 eV and HOMO/LUMO of –5.54/–3.15 eV, while P2 (IF + LFPPD) and P3 (IF + IFPPD + LFPPD) had bandgaps of 1.76 eV and HOMO/LUMO ≈ –5.40/–3.65 eV. These results indicate tunable electronic structures via PPD isomer selection, highlighting the potential of IF-based polymers for NFA-OSCs, though device optimization is still needed.
