Abstract
Color conversion layers (CCLs) based on quantum dots (QDs) have been studied for micro-light-emitting diode (μ-LED) displays but practical implementation is often hindered by QD aggregation and difficulties in forming uniform, stable films. In this work, ZnO–quantum dot hybrid Composite (ZQC) films were fabricated to address these issues through a composite structure combining scattering particles and QDs. ZnO nanoparticles functionalized with 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid were used to chemically bind QDs, enabling the formation of hybrid composites with improved dispersion stability. The film fabrication process was examined with respect to curing conditions and ZnO content. Photoluminescence measurements were employed to investigate the optical behavior of the resulting films and to monitor changes associated with composite formation and film processing. These results demonstrate the potential of ZQC-based composite films as efficient CCLs for μ-LED displays.
