Abstract
Hierarchically integrated metal-organic framework (MOF) and conducting polymer (CP) architecture was constructed for high-rate lithium-ion hybrid capacitors. A multidimensional architecture on carbon fiber cloth was fabricated via Fe electrodeposition, in situ growth of Fe-based MOF nanosheets, and conformal coating of CP. MOF nanosheets created ordered nanoporous pathways that guided lithium ion migration, while the CP overlayer formed a percolating conducting network that reinforced interfacial contact, promoted interfacial electronic delocalization, and enabled efficient charge transfer. The hierarchical scaffold mitigated interfacial degradation associated with electrolyte decomposition and maintained stable charge storage under high-rate operation. These results indicate that hierarchical integration is an effective design strategy for MOF and CP architectures in high-rate hybrid capacitors.
