Abstract
The growing demand for human-machine interfaces has increased interest in laser-induced graphene (LIG) technology owing to their high electrical conductivity. However, the limited stretchability of conventional LIG-based devices hinders their application in E-skin sensors. Herein, we present a stretchable LIG E-skins enabled by an aromatic backbone-based ionogel substrate. The ionogel is synthesized from a polyimide backbone composed of 4,4’-Hexafluoroiospropylidene)diphthalic anhydride, 2,2’-Bis(trifluoromethyl)benzidine) and 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethyl sulfonyl)imide ([EMI][TFSI]). Notably, the polyimide backbone directly serves as a precursor for the formation of LIG network. The prepared ionogel sensor with a LIG layer shows high gauge factor and excellent repeatability. These results demonstrate an effective strategy for highly stretchable and mechanically robust LIG-based e-skins for wearable applications.
