Abstract
Hydrogel-based pressure sensors often suffer from weak mechanical strength, strain-induced signal distortion, or reliance on external power. Here, we present a stretchable, self-powered piezo-ionic pressure sensor based on micropillar-structured hydrogel composed of polyvinyl alcohol, poly(N-hydroxyethyl acrylamide), lithium chloride, and tin-doped BaTiO₃ nanorods. Fabricated via photomask-assisted UV polymerization, the micropillar arrays create stiffness contrast that redirects strain away from sensing regions, maintaining stable output under stretch. The sensor exhibits 3.73 mV kPa⁻¹ pressure sensitivity and stable performance under 200% tensile strain, suitable for wearable pressure sensing applications.
