Abstract

Developing organic semiconductors that combine high electrical performance and mechanical stability remains challenging because elastomer blending improves stretchability but degrades charge transport. We mitigate this issue by selecting an optimal molecular weight (Mw) of a p-type semiconducting polymer prior to blending with an elastomer. The high-Mw polymer shows enhanced charge transport, consistent with improved π-π stacking and the formation of tie molecules that bridge crystalline domains. This robust crystalline network is essential to maintain pathways even within an elastomer matrix. The high-Mw polymer was blended with an elastomer to fabricate stretchable Schottky diodes. The diode exhibited a current density of 4.73mAcm-2, a rectification ratio of 6.31×105, and stable performance under 30% strain. Finally, we implement a fully integrated self-powered logic system based on the stretchable Schottky diodes to demonstrate system-level feasibility.
