Abstract
This study presents a reusable photocatalyst film featuring a hexagonal array of 3D spherical concave microlenses for removing organic dyes from water. We immobilized Ag-doped TiO₂ particles on a PDMS substrate. Compared to conventional planar films, our film significantly enhances photocatalytic activity by increasing the surface area and maximizing light harvesting through the secondary utilization of reflected and scattered light. Performance was evaluated via methylene blue degradation under UVA and natural sunlight. Comparative analysis confirmed that the film with the most spherical geometry exhibited superior performance compared to planar controls. Reusability tests and performance comparisons were conducted across films with different spherical sizes. The films maintained an average degradation efficiency of over 90% even after ten reuse cycles. The film with the most spherical geometry exhibited superior performance compared to other sizes and planar controls.
