Abstract
Double network (DN) hydrogels exhibit excellent mechanical toughness by integrating a rigid and a flexible polymer network, making them attractive for biomedical and soft device application. Recently, their potential in high-resolution 3D printing has gained attention; however, practical use is limited by the high cost of photoinitiators and complex resin preparation. In this study, we introduce a simple and cost-effective approach to fabricate water-dispersible photoinitiator particles compatible with low-cost DLP 3D printers. By controlling the co-initiator and surfactant composition, photoinitiator crystallization was effectively suppressed, leading to rapid acrylate photopolymerization with high conversion efficiency.
