Despite progress in red, green perovskite LEDs, blue PeLEDs still show low efficiency and poor stability due to defects and inefficient carrier injection in solution-processed films. This work introduces diphenylphosphinamide (DPPA) as a dual-passivation additive. Density functional theory and experiments confirm that DPPA’s phosphine oxide group coordinates with undercoordinated Pb²⁺ ions, while its amino group forms hydrogen bonds with halide ions, reducing defect density and suppressing ion migration. As a result, blue quasi-2D PeLEDs with DPPA exhibit a 12.31% external quantum efficiency and 486 nm emission, along with 32% longer operational lifetime and enhanced spectral stability, demonstrating DPPA’s effectiveness in improving blue PeLED performance.
