Quasi-2D Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites are promising for blue PeLEDs but suffer from non-radiative recombination and inefficient energy transfer. We introduced bifunctional phosphonic acid additives—2-PA, 3-PA, and 6-PA—to address these issues. The P=O groups passivate defects by coordinating with unsaturated Pb2+, while the additives optimize n-phase distribution to enhance energy funneling. The alkyl chain length was found to be critical for balancing passivation and charge transport. The 3-PA optimized device achieved a champion EQE of 13.11% (486 nm), a top-tier result for blue PeLEDs. This work offers a synergistic strategy for high-performance blue perovskite optoelectronics.
