Self-Assembled Bo@F-rGO Heterostructure for Synergetic LiF-Rich Interphase Stabilization in Lithium Metal Batteries

 Lithium metal anodes (LMAs) are essential for high-energy-density batteries, but suffer from capacity fading and dendritic growth. To address these, we fabricated a PE separator coated with self-assembled boehmite and fluorine-functionalized rGO (Bo@F-rGO) using 1H, 1H, 2H, 2H-Perfluorooctyltriethoxysilane (PFOES). The self-assembled Bo@F-rGO layer provides a structured framework that induces uniform Li+ flux and enhances mechanical stability.The PFOES modification facilitates the in-situ formation of a LiF-rich SEI, providing high interfacial energy and robustness. Bo@F-rGO suppresses electrolyte decomposition and inhibits dendrite penetration. Electrochemical tests confirmed that the Bo@F-rGO-PE separator significantly reduces nucleation overpotentials and voltage hysteresis. Even at 3C, the system demonstrated extended cycle life and stable plating/stripping, offering a highly effective strategy for stabilizing the lithium metal interface.
