Flexible and soft strain sensors have attracted increasing attention in wearable electronics due to their ability to convert mechanical deformation into electrical signals. Such sensors are promising for applications such as human motion monitoring, electronic skin, medical diagnostics, energy devices, and soft robotics. Graphene oxide (GO) derivatives offer attractive features, including electrical conductivity, good water dispersibility, mechanical strength, and flexibility. In addition, metallic nanomaterial-based conductive fillers (CFs) can form interconnected conductivity networks, enhancing electrical pathways and structural stability. In this study, we fabricated a nanocomposite hydrogel strain sensor by incorporating GO derivatives and two kinds of CFs into a hydrogel matrix. Key hydrogel properties, including self-healing, adhesiveness, mechanical strength, and electrochemical ability, were evaluated to demonstrate its potential for wearable strain-sensing applications.
