Unlike traditional lenses, Fresnel lenses feature concentric grooves engraved on a flat substrate, enabling construction of shorter focal length lenses with reduced weight and volume, ideal for miniaturization and lightweighting. We introduced an effective strategy to fabricate low cost yet sustainable sulfur-rich polymer-based IR Fresnel lenses with sulfur-rich polymersfor cost-effective and sustainable IR optics. Sulfur-rich polymers, produced from elemental sulfur through inverse vulcanization reaction, are optical IR transparent polymers known for their significantly improved IR transmittance because of the decrease in organic comonomer units that absorb IRdue to its exceptionally high inorganic contents.  In this presentation, we will discuss optimization of imprinting processing conditions and functionality of developed a method to fabricate Fresnel lenses made from sulfur-rich polymers using a simple and cost-effective thermal imprinting process.
