Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are promising photovoltaic devices due to their high absorption and efficient charge transport. Inverted p–i–n PSCs are particularly attractive for tandem solar cells because of their negligible hysteresis and high compatibility.[1,2] However, wide-bandgap PSCs used as top subcells suffer from open-circuit voltage (VOC) losses caused by energy-level mismatches at the electron transport layer (ETL)/cathode interface, severely limiting performance.[3] Here, we report three donor–acceptor quinoxaline-based small molecules introduced as interlayers between the organic ETL and the cathode. These molecules induce strong interfacial dipoles via electron-donating and electron-withdrawing moieties, improving energy-level alignment and enabling efficient ohmic contacts. Consequently, wide-bandgap PSCs achieve a VOC of 1.31 V and a power conversion efficiency of 20.7%, with enhanced thermal and operational stability.
