Battery slurry is a composite suspension consisting of active materials, conductive additives, and polymer binders, whose rheological properties are critical to electrode coating stability and battery performance. This study provides a theoretical analysis of the flow behavior of such slurry systems. Under non-Brownian conditions, suspensions exhibit discontinuous shear thickening when the particle volume fraction exceeds a critical value. Conventional models typically assume spherical particles and attribute shear thickening to interparticle friction, lubrication interactions, and stress relaxation. However, these assumptions fail to adequately describe the complex rheology of battery slurries composed of irregular and non-spherical particles. To address this limitation, fractal dimension analysis is introduced to systematically assess the effects of particle morphology and structural complexity on slurry rheology, thereby improving the prediction of viscosity evolution.
