Microneedles(MNs) are micron-sized needles that penetrate the skin to enable minimally invasive and painless transdermal delivery of fluids, such as drugs and contrast agents, as an alternative to syringe injections. However, conventional MNs suffer from a limited drug loading capacity. In this study, we developed a surface fluidic MN patch (SFMNP) that overcomes this limitation by facilitating fluid delivery through microneedles with multiscale grooves. These multiscale groove structures enable efficient fluid transport and enhance the overall delivery capability. We validated the performance of SFMNP in vivo using animal models, focusing on their application in lymphangiography. SFMNP showed contrast agent delivery efficiency comparable to syringe injection and maintained its performance under lymphedema conditions. These results demonstrate the potential for clinical use of SFMNP and its broad application in drug delivery.
