내용
To develop luminescent materials by controlling hierarchical structure, we newly synthesized a platinum(Ⅱ)-terpyridine metallomesogen (Pt-MM). Pt-MM undergoes a triplet metal-metal-to-ligand charge transfer (3MMLCT) due to molecular aggregation of the Pt(Ⅱ)-tpy core, exhibiting light emissions upon self-assembly. When the Pt-MM is uniaxially aligned, it shows maximum photoluminescence (PL) intensity when SD and PA are parallel. These characteristics can be applied to patterned codes and selective sign indicators responding to polarization. It enables the advancement of anticounterfeiting technology with multi-responsive luminescence switching.
