Controlling solvent–polymer interactions can boost thermoelectric performance in doped conjugated polymers, but how additives differentiate backbone vs side-chain interactions from solution to films remains unclear. Using a DPP–DTT polymer with oligoethylene glycol side chains, we compare backbone-selective, side-chain-selective, and marginal solvents and show that selectivity dictates microstructure. Backbone-affinitive solvents suppress π–π aggregation, disrupting percolation pathways and yielding randomly distributed dopants. In contrast, side-chain-affinitive solvents preferentially interact with TEG, driving dopants into polar side-chain regions, improving doping efficiency, and tuning nano-to-mesoscale structure for efficient transport. Mobility and doping efficiency increase together, delivering σ>1500 S cm⁻¹ and PF> 400μW m⁻¹ K⁻². Overall, we provide a solvent-selectivity processing guideline for organic thermoelectrics.
