A biohybrid system combines biological elements with artificial materials to reproduce key biological archietectures and functions. This presentation will highlight muscular or vascular biohybrid platforms developed for various biomedical applications, including soft robotics and Biopreservation. The combination of a 3D-printed scaffolds, bioelectronics, and engineered 3D skeletal muscle tissue has enabled diverse robotic functions. The mechanical properties of hydrogel scaffold effect on locomotion of biohybrid walker. Additionally, a vascular microphysiological system will be presented as an organ preservation testbed, designed to simulate reperfusion injury during low-temperature preservation and subsequent reperfusion. The testbed can be adapted to evaluate a wide range of preservation protocols, thereby optimizing it for extended organ storage.
