Vertically stacked VIS–NIR image sensors are key to multispectral imaging but often face trade-offs in resolution and NIR sensitivity due to silicon’s limitations. We demonstrate a visibly transparent NIR organic photodiode monolithically integrated on a silicon photodiode, enabling pixel-aligned dual-mode imaging. A machine-learning-guided donor polymer, P(BDT-TQ), overcomes the balance between NIR absorption and charge generation. Using a ternary blend with poly(methyl methacrylate), the device achieves >67% visible transmittance and detectivity above 10¹² Jones. Fabricated via low-temperature spin-coating and integrated with a 120 × 64 CMOS pixel array, the system delivers a wide dynamic range (>170 dB) with minimal spectral crosstalk.
