Abstract

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) is a non-destructive technique that provides molecular vibrational information without sample pretreatment. SERS arises from enhanced electric fields ("hot spots") generated by localized surface plasmon resonance at metal nanoparticle interfaces, particularly within gaps of 2–10 nm. Achieving uniform nanostructures with dense hot spots is critical. Here, gold nanoparticle films were fabricated using serum albumin (SA) and M13 bacteriophage scaffolds via meniscus dragging deposition (MDD). We optimized incubation conditions and coating parameters, evaluating performance using rhodamine 6G (R6G). The optimized films demonstrated significant potential for metabolite analysis in biological samples.
