Abstract

3D printing with photo-curable resin has recently attracted attention due to its simplicity and ease of fabrication compared to conventional approaches. Titanium dioxide(TiO2), known for its high refractive index and excellent transmittance, is widely incorporated into photo-curable resins for optical applications. However, the presence of photocurable molecules inevitably reduces the overall refractive index.
To address this limitation, we doped the TiO2 with Fe, inducing a reduction in grain size and enhanced light-electron interactions, thereby increasing the refractive index. In addition, the surface of Fe-dopped TiO2 nanoparticles was functionalized with photocurable ligands, while excess resin was removed to further improve the refractive index.
As a proof of concept, Fe-doped TiO2 photocurable nanocomposites were employed to fabricate patterned films, demonstrating a promising approach for high-performance metasurface fabrication.
