Abstract

. Supramolecular chirality has emerged as a promising strategy for enhancing the chiroptical properties of optoelectronic materials. In this study, we present a method to effectively amplify molecular chirality by precisely controlling the self-assembly of perylene diimide (PDI) derivatives with chiral side chains. By finely tuning the solvent-assisted self-assembly conditions, we achieved a variety of supramolecular architectures, including unique helical structures that exhibited significantly enhanced dissymmetry factors in both circularly polarized light (CPL) absorption and photoluminescence. The close correlation between supramolecular structure and chiroptical activity was elucidated through detailed structural analysis. Furthermore, the chiral nanostructures were successfully applied as active layers in optoelectronic devices, demonstrating their potential as CPL detectors. This study highlights the underlying mechanisms of chirality induction and amplification via supramolecular engineering and provides a viable approach for the development of next-generation chiral optoelectronic materials and CPL-responsive devices.
