Anti-Reflecitve Robust Nanostructures by Blockcopolymer Self-Assembly Patterns for Future Flexible Display Applications

Abstract

Next-generation display technologies require precise and durable optical interfaces, especially in complex, curved designs. This study presents a novel anti-reflective strategy that combines high optical performance with mechanical robustness. Inspired by biological structures, nanohole arrays were embedded into a transparent polymer using block copolymer self-assembly. These nanostructures achieved over 70% reflection reduction through gradual refractive index transition, minimizing optical impedance mismatch, as confirmed by simulations. The embedded design also improved mechanical stability by effectively dissipating external stress, maintaining performance under repeated deformation. Additionally, the film demonstrated strong environmental adaptability in curved optical devices and exhibited self-cleaning properties due to its hydrophobic surface. This multifunctional approach offers a promising solution for advanced optical and display systems.
