Abstract

Superlattices provide unprecedented mechanical, electronic, and dielectric properties. However, developing such structures via bottom-up method remains rare, as it requires precise control over interfacial curvature. This becomes more challenging with the incorporation of ionic components. Here, we present a strategy for stabilizing superlattices, utilizing charged block copolymers and zwitterions as interfacial stabilizing agents. By systematically tuning the interaction strength of zwitterions, we show that zwitterions with weakly interacting cations preferentially localize at the interfacial sublayers between ionophilic and ionophobic domains. With increasing zwitterion concentration, the enhancement of ion–dipole interactions drives curvature modulation, facilitating phase transitions from superlattices to Frank-Kasper phases. These materials exhibit excellent dielectric properties and mechanical robustness, potentially enabling next-generation flexible electronic systems.
