Abstract

Recyclable low dielectric polymers (LDPs) exhibiting high thermal conductivity are newly developed for next-generation high-frequency electronic applications. By integrating fused aromatic mesogens and siloxane linkers with octavinylsilsesquioxane, the LDPs achieve ultralow dielectric permittivity (Dk = 1.79), low dielectric loss (Df = 0.004), and high thermal conductivity (λ = 0.89 W·m⁻¹·K⁻¹) at high frequencies (1 to 10 GHz). Additionally, cold crystallization is strategically employed to control the molecular organization and chain alignment, allowing for the investigation of their effects on the thermal conduction and dielectric properties. The LDPs also demonstrate reprocessability and recyclability without performance degradation. These multifunctional materials offer promising potential for eco-friendly electronic packaging and signal transmission in high-frequency circuits. This work was supported by Basic Research Laboratory Program (RS-2023-00207836) and BK21 FOUR Program.
