Vacuum insulation panels(VIPs) are widely used due to their excellent thermal insulation performance. However, key performance such as thermal conductivity and durability are dependent heavily on the design of the core material, there is a constant demand for performance enhancement. In this study, to improve mechanical support and interfacial bonding, hollow silica particles(HSPs) and glass fibers(GFs) were surface-modified using silane coupling agents such as APTES and GPTMS, respectively. The composites were fabricated by synthesis, electrospinning, and spray processes, and their chemical structures and bonding morphologies were confirmed by FT-IR and SEM analysis. Through this, it was confirmed that the composite between the surface-modified hollow silica particles and glass fibers was successfully achieved.
