내용
Organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) are important for maintaining ion trapping states within the channel layer by controlling channel/ion interactions for use as artificial synapses. To this end, research is actively underway to enhance ion interactions through the introduction of glycol groups. However, most studies have focused on side chains, with little attention paid to the glycolization of the back-bone. The back-bone has a high packing density, so glycolization can maximize the effects of ion movement and path improvement. In this study, we modulated the ion doping and dedoping mechanisms through back-bone glycolization and demonstrated that it can meet the various performance requirements needed for OECT and artificial synapse operation. This proves the high potential of back-bone glycolization and suggests a design strategy for next-generation OECT implementation.
