Among various 3D printing technologies, Fused Deposition Modeling(FDM) is widely used for processing engineering plastics due to its advantages such as rapid fabrication and the ability to create complex geometries. However, FDM parts often suffer from weak interlayer adhesion along the build Z-direction, resulting in poor mechanical properties and limiting their industrial and structural applications. In this study, instead of modifying printing parameters or adopting alternative technologies, we propose a facile post-annealing method to enhance interlayer bonding of FDM parts. By post-annealing, improved interfacial fusion was achieved while maintaining the original 3D geometry. Dramatic improvement in bonding quality, accompanied by increased mechanical properties, was confirmed by interfacial imaging performed before and after post-annealing. These findings demonstrate that the proposed post-annealing approach effectively overcomes a critical limitation of the FDM process.
