A nitrile- and ether-rich covalent organic framework (COF-EN) was synthesized via nucleophilic substitution and used as a nanofiller to enhance the performance of sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone) (SPEEK)-based proton exchange membranes (PEMs). Incorporation of COF-EN improved thermal, oxidative, and dimensional stability through hydrogen bonding, dipole–dipole, and π–π interactions with the SPEEK matrix. The polar groups in COF-EN also facilitated water uptake and proton conduction. Among the composites, SPEEK/COF-EN_3 showed the best balance of mechanical and electrochemical properties, achieving a 2.3-fold increase in fuel cell power density compared to pristine SPEEK. This study highlights COF-EN as an effective filler for next-generation PEMs.
