MXenes have emerged as promising materials for energy storage devices due to their outstanding electrical and hydrophilic properties. However, patterning of MXene films remains a challenge for realizing energy storage devices such as supercapacitors. We report a simple method to fabricate patterned MXene-based supercapacitors by combining meniscus dragging deposition (MDD) and a laser-cut silicone rubber mask. An interdigitated MXene pattern can be easily produced by dragging the deposition plate back and forth over the mask-attached substrate. For the device manufacturing, a polyvinyl alcohol-NaCl gel electrolyte and gold current collectors were used. To characterize electrochemical performance, cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge-discharge measurements were performed. The convective flow-based MDD process is applicable to various materials, offering a scalable strategy for energy storage device fabrication.
