Flexible transparent heaters are promising for de-icing in vehicles and use in wearable or foldable devices. For operation in extreme environments, such as in the aerospace industry, higher-temperature heating performance is required. Our transparent heater was fabricated by printing gallium oxide (GaOx) on a polyimide (PI) substrate via ambient liquid Ga printing, followed by thermal evaporation of gold (Au) to form a Ga-Au alloy. Optical transmittance, sheet resistance, and heating performance were evaluated with varying Au thickness. A 6 nm Au layer showed 86% transmittance and a sheet resistance of 16 Ω/sq, while a 14 nm layer had 69% and 6 Ω/sq. Under 20 V, the 14 nm sample reached a peak temperature of 521 °C and maintained over 500 °C for 6 hours. The Au/GaOx heater also endured 8,000 bending cycles (2.5 mm radius) with <0.1% resistance change. These findings highlight the potential of Au/GaOx-based heaters de-icing, foldables, and extreme environments.
