내용
We present a novel copolyester composed of camphor- and tartaric acid-derived poly(ethylene terephthalate camphor dimethyl tartrate). The presence of a crosslinked bicyclic structure and spiro-ring imparts relatively high rigidity and thermal stability to the polyesters, and the acetal group contributes to their hydrolytic properties. The thermal stability of the polyesters was demonstrated up to 381°C, and the glass transition temperature matched or exceeded that of their homopolyester when up to 10-20 mol% of the novel diester was introduced. The hydrolytic sensitivity of polyester was shown to depend on the ratio of the Ct diester. The diester significantly influenced the degradation behaviors of polyesters under acidic buffer conditions.
