High oxygen permeability ionomer (HOPIs) are used in proton exchange membrane fuel cells to enhance efficiency. To develop HOPIs with tunable ion conductivity, controlling the copolymer content is crucial, which can be achieved by adjusting the initial feed ratio of comonomers. Accurate control over this composition requires knowledge of the copolymer reactivity ratios. In this study, we experimentally determined the reactivity ratio using the Fineman-Ross method. The obtained reactivity ratios were then used to predict the copolymer composition, which was compared to the values determined by 19F-NMR. Additionally, we investigated the effect of copolymer content on the polymerization yield and the equivalent weight of the synthesized HOPIs.
