 Conventional polymer binders such as PVDF, which are electrically insulating, hinder charge transport within electrodes and necessitate the use of additional conductive additives. A fluorine-free, intrinsically conductive polymer adhesive (CPA) was synthesized by ternary doping of polyaniline (PANI) with camphorsulfonic acid (CSA), dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA), and glycidyl trimethylammonium chloride (GCT) via solution processing. The doped structure exhibits improved redox activity, polymer chain ordering, and interfacial interactions, resulting in high electrical conductivity and strong adhesion without the need for conductive agents or thermal treatment. Compared to PVDF, CPA delivers higher specific capacitance, reduced internal resistance, and enhanced compatibility with diverse electrode materials. These results underscore the potential of CPA as a multifunctional and environmentally benign binder for advanced electrochemical energy storage applications.
