Anion exchange membrane-based AEMFC, water electrolysis, and CCU have high potential as next-generation alternative energy generators, but they are facing difficulties in commercialization due to unstable chemical stability and low ionic conductivity of the membrane. In this study, we aim to overcome the limitations by developing a novel branched polymer structure using N-methyl-4-piperidone, p-terphenyl, dibenzothiophene, and branched monomers. First, the chemical structure was confirmed through FT-IR and NMR. Additionally, the morphology with nanophase separation was confirmed using AFM, and the surface of membrane was confirmed without any defect and high density through FE-SEM. These branched structure-based polymer backbone provide a strategy for the development of high-performance AEMs with superior properties.
