Recently, energy harvesting technologies have been attracting attention for realizing carbon neutrality. Among them, the triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) converts mechanical energy into electrical energy based on the electrostatic induction and triboelectrification. Due to its simple working mechanism, the various materials can be utilized to fabricate the TENG. TENGs using conductive fibers are suitable for monitoring movements of the human body. However, the conductive coating is easily peeled off by mechanical stress, decreasing its conductivity. Herein, a graphene oxide and tannic acid solution is coated on the Polyethylene terephthalate fiber to increase the binding force with the conductive material. After coating, a Cu electrode is deposited by using sputter. As a result, a conductive fiber-based TENG is fabricated and a power density of 55 mW/m2 is generated. Considering these results, we expect the proposed methods will be utilized to fabricate the conductive fiber.
