CCU (Carbon Capture & Utilization) refers to a technology that captures CO2 generated from industrial processes or power plants, then stores it underground or utilizes it as a useful material through compression and transport processes. CCU is a technology that converts and utilizes chemical raw materials, energy sources, building materials, etc., and the need to present a model that contributes to carbon neutrality by developing a rubber composition manufacturing technology using carbonate additives manufactured from carbon dioxide is emerging. Therefore, in this study, a rubber composition produced by reacting with ions, which is a dissolved component from seawater, using carbon dioxide gas emitted from chimneys of factories and power plants, etc., was used to manufacture and characterize the rubber composition, and the properties and characteristics of the rubber composition using commercial carbonate were evaluated, find out the difference.
